We currently have young unsexed chickens for sale from day olds up to around 6 weeks of age.

What You Need to Know:

• Unsexed Chicks: Sold as-is, meaning their gender will become clear as they grow (usually between 6 to 12 weeks it becomes more apparent the hens from the cockerels). Buyers should plan ahead for roosters as we are unable to take them back.
• Handle With Care: While vibrant and hardy as adults, Appenzeller chicks can be delicate in their early weeks, so a warm and secure brooder is essential until they are fully feathered (approx 6 weeks of age)
• Chickens need friends: Even if you are introducing to your own flock eventually, we recommend buying at least 3 chickens to grow together so they have the safety of their own flock of friends.
• Pickup or Shipping Options: Pickup is available almost any day of the week, or you can arrange your own transport (see our terms and conditions).
