Welcome TO TARCOMBE
Tarcombe, one of the original pastoral properties in Little River, Victoria, has a rich history dating back to the 1840s. Initially settled by sheep farmers, the land has seen many transformations over the years. The iconic bluestone homestead, built in 1864 and once known as Sunnyside, became part of local farmer William Gleeson’s estate in the early 1900s and was renamed Tarcombe. After serving as a lifestyle property through much of the late 20th and early 21st century, the farm is now returning to its agricultural roots under the care of the Phillips family, who took ownership in 2021.
At Tarcombe, we’re embracing regenerative farming practices, ensuring the land remains fertile and healthy for future generations. We proudly breed Australian miniature and pygmy goats, barnyard chickens and the rare Appenzeller Spitzhauben, as well as Welsh Ponies and Norwegian Fjord Horses, honouring both the land’s history and its promising future.
Our commitment to sustainability and ethical farming is at the heart of everything we do, bringing new life to a property with deep roots in Victoria’s farming heritage.
